Deep tissue massage therapy is similar to swedish massage, but the deeper pressure is beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension and adhesions that cause pain & restrict range of motion.

SWEDISH MASSAGE

Swedish massage technique is used to relax the entire body by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood flow returning to the heart.  Swedish massage is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing toxins in the muscles, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension.

PRENATAL MASSAGE

Prenatal massage is a healthy way to reduce stress and promote overall wellness during pregnancy for mom & baby.  A pregnancy massage pillow is used, so mom can comfortably and safely lie face down during her massage.  If this happens to be uncomfortable for mom, a side lying position with fluffy pillows surrounding her can be used. In addition, massage for pregnant women reduces stress on weight-bearing joints, can help to reduce pain and stiffness.  Can also aid in relaxing nervous tension which aids in better sleep and can help relieve depression or anxiety caused by hormonal changes during pregnancy.

Warm peppermint oil is gently massaged into your neck & scalp to help release tension, headaches, nausea as well as any respiratory problems or just for overall pain relief.  Warm towels are then added to the face for a truly relaxing experience.

Let the peppermint oil revive and lift your spirit while the pumice scrub gently exfoliates dry skin from your tired feet.  We will then wrap the feet in warm hot towels & finish off with invigorating peppermint body butter.

Hot stones will be used to pretreat each area before starting your massage to allow more easily deep tissue manipulations or simply as a tool for deeper relaxation.

Instead of exerting pressure on different points of the body, massage cupping uses suction to tug the skin, tissues & muscle upwards, promoting blood flow & loosening tight muscles and adhesions/knots.
